LED Lantern

LED Lantern is a great camping light. These lanterns are dimmable and lightweight. The light produced by this lantern is a slightly bluish-white.
The led lantern generates more than adequate light for camp table activities, eating and as an area light. These provide good light for a large area with two or more hanging from tree limbs or posts. The led lantern is also an excellent light source for power outages, fishing, as a work light, backyard parties and other activities. This is a "must have" light for any activity, or situation that requires a portable light. The led lanterns are generally known to be the best, brightest, and longest lasting source of light. Led lantern is also a great take-along light when hiking, camping, and fishing, on the road as well. Thus these led lanterns are multi purpose.

Let's look out for the working of led lantern:

The led lantern use to generate light in various angles. Led lantern contain a plane surface having led light in the circular arc directs light at the conical reflector, which redirect the generated light in 360 degree arc of light. This light is then concentrated by the magnifying lens. The light beam has a small vertical angle of divergence and appears to originate from a point light source in the center of the conical reflector. A base assembly of lantern has rising positions to which keeps the planar surface, conical reflector and magnifying lens are secured and maintained the lantern in an up-right position. The base assembly of the lantern includes a plurality of mounting positions for securing the planar surface at various predetermined distances from the conical reflector, thereby directing the generated light beam at a corresponding predetermined up-angle. In the preferred embodiment, light produced by leds with 30-degree spreads is redirected by the 45-degree conical reflector to create a 360-degree arc of light outward from the conical reflector.

Now let's check out the installation instructions of led lantern:

LED lanterns are used in two successful bidders for field test and evaluation on both fixed and floating aids to navigation. The LED lanterns do not have provisions for terminating wires from the batteries. They are equipped with a power cable that is to be terminated in a Led Junction Box or at the battery box on fixed aids. The junction box provides a convenient place to terminate the solar panel, lantern and battery without excessive cable runs.

Steps for installation of led lantern are as follows:

* Remove the screws securing the clear cover on the LED lantern. Do not lose the O-ring in the base, and washers and bushings attached to the screws.
* Lift out the lens assembly and flasher from the lantern base. The power cord will remain attached.
* The flash rhythm can be set using the two rotary switches under the flasher. Set the rhythm using your fingers or a small flat-blade screwdriver.
* Install the flasher and LED stack into the base along with the clear cover.
* Attach the power cable to the Led lantern.
* Install the appropriate solar panel using the solar panel installation kit and the appropriate number of batteries.
* Cover the photocell and check for proper operation.
* Check to be sure all Leds are lit around the lantern

Servicing should be done in accordance with the standard cycle established for the aid on these lanterns.
